About being in labor....?

I am totally afraid of pain!! Everyone who knows me knows that if you hit me lightly I will cry. Then they start laughing after imagining me in labor. Which is running joke with my friends. I wanted to know how labor was for everyone who has had kids. What should I expect? I have a long while before it happens but I'd rather know the gory details now. Lol. I'm 16 weeks!
