Why do people claim that micro and macro evolution has the same process?

Ok basically micro evolution is what happens at the base genetic level this is often displayed through the evolution of bacteria which are cellular size, what happens in macro evolution is just a continuation of micro evolution. All of those micro mutations add up to bigger genetic variation over time, lots of small changes result in a big change which is referred to as macro evolution - micro means small, macro means big simples :)
